| CBW Twofer Strategy | --- Amount whored so far this month using casino bonuses: $150 -- |
Using our "Twofer" strategy can turn bad bonuses into good bonuses, and good bonuses into great ones!Attention: This is an advanced higher risk strategy and is not for beginners. If you are a beginner, please check out our Easy Grand Program Background: This strategy is one we developed when we found the industry gravitating towards higher and higher wagering requirement bonuses. The traditional way of playing these bonuses, which was grinding out the wagering requirement via blackjack, video poker or french roulette, would result in a very small EV in proportion to the bonus amount (or in some cases even a negative EV!). We started by looking at bonuses in pairs to help negate the variance in what would be an otherwise riskier method of bonus clearing. This is where The orginal CBW Twofer was born. While the original bonuses that inspired the twofer are long gone, the strategies that came out of it are still valid. The Basics: In short, the CBW Twofer strategy consists of betting your whole balance after the bonus is applied to your account, usually in Baccarat on the banker bet. Since the banker bet in Baccarat will win slightly more then 50% of the time (removing ties from the statistics), half of the time you will double your starting balance and half of the time you will bust out. By using this simple strategy, you can tranform otherwise unappealing bonuses to winners! Lets look at an example. Take a run of the mill 100% match bonus of $100 on a deposit of $100. This is probably the most common bonus out there. There is a 30XB wagering requirement which represents a $3000 WR on this bonus. However, to combat the "evil bonus whores who play BJ and then cash out", they have made BJ only count 10% towards the WR, which results in a whopping $30,000 WR. Slots and American Roulette are the only things that count 100%, and all other roulettes (including our favorite 1.35% house edge French Roulette) count 50%. If you played these the conventional way, then you would end up with an EV of -$50 playing blackjack, -$50 playing slots, and $19 using french roulette. Doesn't look too good eh? Now lets look at the twofer method: Taking the same $200 starting balance ($100 deposit + $100 bonus), we bet the whole amount on one hand of Baccarat (or roulette if the table limits are high enough). Statistically, half of the time you will win and have $390 (since the banker bet charges a 5% commission when you win) and half of the time you will lose and have nothing. Obviously, when you lose, there is no wagering requirement to complete. When you win, you then clear the remainder of the wagering requirement using whichever method you like. Going back to the numbers above, $30,000 worth of BJ represented a $150 expected loss (i.e. $30,000X0.5%) , slots represented a $150 expected loss (i.e. $3000X5%), and french roulette represented a $81 loss. Taking these numbers from the $390 balance you have after winning the big bet yields, $240 ($140 profit) with BJ or slots, and $309 ($209 profit) with French Roulette. So half of the time you lose $100 and half of the time you make $209 using French Roulette. This gives you an average profit, or EV of ($209-$100)/2=$55 with French Roulette and ($140-$100)/2=$20 for BJ or slots. Just like that, you have changed a negative EV bonus into a positive EV bonus via smart play! You can increase this even further by betting the whole amount again (a Fourfer if you will) if you are feeling frisky. This would result in a 75% chance of losing it all, and a 25% chance of a huge profit of $580. This catapults your EV up to $70 on the exact same bonus! Depending on the bonus terms and conditions we usually recommend a target of between 2x and 4x your starting balance. Let's Get to it Now I will get into the specifics of how to use the Twofer Strategy, using the Microgaming software as an example. Baccarat will be the game we are playing for the first part of this strategy. The rules of Baccarat can be found many places on the web including the great Wizard of Odds site, but for our purposes the important thing to know is that the Banker bet will win 45.8% of the time, there will be a tie 9.5% of the time, and the player bet will win 44.6% of the time. The banker bet charges a 5% commission on winning bets so if you bet $20 it pays $19. Even with that factored in, the banker bet still has a lower HA. After you have bought in and received your bonus, you play "Baccarat" and bet your full bankroll amount on the Banker bet. If there is a tie, simply bet again. Depending on the actual amount you are trying to bet, it can be a little tricky to get the whole amount to bet. For example to bet $250, You have to set the "bet size" to $50 and then hit add bet 5 times to get the total to $250.
While we recommend Baccarat due to its low house edge, it is just one method to try and double up your bankroll. You can also double in French Roulette by betting on either red or black (or odd or even). Typically they don't give you a high enough limit on roulette, so another method is to place multiple bets on the individual numbers to sidestep the low maximums. For example, if you have a bankroll of $200 you are trying to double, and they limit your maximum bet on Odd to $50, then you could simply bet $11 on every odd number (with $2 left over). If an odd number hits, then you would win $385 and more or less doubled up. I typically play Baccarat at the maximum bet possible until I double or bust. If you can't bet the whole bankroll in one hand, simply keep betting the max amount until you either double (or more depending on your tolerance for variance) or bust. After you have doubled your starting balance, we now have to clear the remaining wagering requirement to allow the bonus amount to be cashed out. Go into their "French Roulette " game. Normally Roulette has a high house edge, but this variety has a single 0 along with the great "La Partage" rule. This brings the house edge down to 1.35 %. Before you start click on the Options icon in the roulette game (it looks like some gears) and make sure you cut "Quickspin" on. This will drastically speed up your clearing. So open the French Roulette game and place a $1 bet on the "Red" bet (or black or even or odd, it doesn't matter). and then click "Expert". Then a button called "Autoplay" should appear. Note some casino groups are now disabling autoplay on Roulette to combat this strategy. If "Expert" is greyed out, then just use an autoclicker instead. Click on this button and a box like this will appear:
Depending on the bonus size and the weighting the casino gives French Roulette, the number you will be putting into this box will vary. If you have trouble calculating the exact amount, you can always put 1000 in and then see how fast the bonus dollars convert to guage the correct amount. Even with setting the number of seconds between spins to 0, it will take some time. As you do this, your balance will move from the Bonus to Cash in the Credit section at the bottom left. If you hover your mouse over the credit section you can see how you are doing. It will look like this:
On Microgaming software, you can also go into the banking section on the withdrawal tab to see this information. When it has all moved from the bonus to the cash you are done and have met the WR! As we mentioned it will take several hours, but for hundreds in profits, why not!? Now take a look at the Microgaming Bonuses from the CBWDB to find your first target!
